Okay.. So what i don’t understand is all this rubbish Strictly come dancing, and X-Factor is the lengths people go through just to get popular. Like, the money and the effort to amuse and entertain people is ridiculous. Not only doe the government pay, but WE pay out of our pockets for rubbish TV to be aired, just so some people can have their 2 mins of fame. It’s rubbish, complete and utter crap that has come out from some guys butt.
Like with the X-Factor, the people who are good singers would and could have gotten their chance by PUTTING IN SOME EFFORT to some recording studios and their own lives to make it better, rather than putting what may seem their whole life and soul into something that is going to get no where. Work at it yourselves and don’t waste MY money and everyone elses so you can TRY and get a place on a stupid show.
The money that society puts into ringing these places up for someone to win and for someone to get knocked out is hilar.. so much money of which could probably stop this whole Uni rates going up and everything else going up in prices for things that people may need but can’t afford.
What happened to reading a book? To knock on your friends door instead of texting them? Playing board games instead of computer ones?
There is so much more in life that we can enjoy without having these items that may seem ‘needed’ or ‘ideal’ for us to run normally day to day.
man. TV makes me fume. If we didn’t have it people would be riding bikes, walking places and hvaing fun by not being obese. AHHH.
fume over.
things are slow here, and after an epic 3 way meeting i’m moving home for a bit.
I shall commute between Swindon and Bristol for hopefully around a month UNTIL the find me another place to live as i believe this is essential otherwise i will be defo depressed by the end of the next month.
WOOP. I just hope things pick up or I will be moving to another placement. shizzle
Today, i got the train from Swindon to Temple meads to go and meet a lovely lady called Lily whos on my course to talk through some course stuff. As i do, i got there ridiculously early and waited outside WHSmith listening to some tunes on the old ipod. Then from no where walks a guy through the ticket gate, looks at me, heads into WHSmith and when he comes out he stands right in front of me and pretty much shouts ‘HI’. As i take out one of my headphones, and whilst being very taken back by this random guy i reply with, ‘Who are you?!’ It didn’t mean to sound rude or anything it’s just what poured out of my mouth at the time. So this is how the rest of the conversation went:
HIM: My name is Mark ( I think :/) and what is your name (whilst putting out his hand)
ME: Imogen (whilst shaking his hand)
HIM: Wow, what a beautiful name
ME: Errr… thanks?
HIM: So do you live in Bristol then?
ME: Kind of yes, in and out really. why do you ask?
HIM: I see, well i was wondering, y’know.. if we could go out for a drink sometime?
ME: What, sorry… umm.. no.. sorry.. thanks
HIM: Why? Why no, whats your excuse?
ME: Well i live on the outskirts not in the centre so i don’t think it would be made possible
HIM: How long do you come to the centre?
ME: (LYING THROUGH MY GAPPY TEETH) like, once every two weeks
HIM: well i could grab your number and we could meet when your in the centre?
ME: really?! no thanks.
HIM: Really?
ME: Yes, i don’t want to thanks.
HIM: okay, well it was very nice meeting you Imogen.
THEN, he walks through the ticket gate again and goes away. I have no idea who this guy was, but he totally freaked me out and took me right off my guard. I’m glad i said no though, he could have done some dangerous stalker stuff i think. BUT then at the same time i did have a little talk to the Big G up the clouds and asked for some more friends. Thanks G… make it very obvious and uncomfortable! HA.
Also, a man smelt like the most rankest cheese on the way back, everyone in the carriage had their clothes covering their noses. Rank.
I have just discovered these shoes. Basically they are good shoes made for good people who want to do good.
When you buy a pair of their shoes, they give a pair away to people who need them. Genius.
